I just have to say what an amazing tool the Oura Ring can be for optimizing health. I've had mine for just over a year and the general trends I wouldn't have found without it include:

1. The best ways to drastically improve my readiness and sleep scores are:

  • Prioritizing a consistent sleep schedule (going to bed and waking at the same time each day)

  • Finishing my last meal at least 3 hours before bed

  • Winding down and eliminating blue light at least 2 hours before bed by using Ra Optics blue light blocking glasses

  • Getting morning sunlight as early as possible upon waking and implementing daily red light therapy by using a Joovv device

  • Sleeping at a cool temperature (60-69F) by using an Ooler Sleep System

  • Implementing grounding therapy while sleeping by using an Ultimate Longevity grounding sleep mat

  • Eliminating noise and light pollution by using earplugs and a sleep mask

2. No matter what time of the day caffeine or alcohol is consumed, my readiness and sleep scores are always lower.

3. I can tell I'm getting sick, which hasn't happened often since using the Oura Ring, if my respiratory rate steadily increases over the course of several days. No wonder the NBA used the Oura Ring this season and reported zero confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The picture above shows the day I nailed everything the best. When you use the ring on a consistent basis, you begin to learn how you actually feel when you hit these numbers before you even check the app. Let me know your thoughts!
